Yep that's me!  Handsome fella on the left. White polo shirt blue jeans. Taken back in March 2016, i am a little older now of course but wizardly wiser!

Back in 2012, i divided into the world of Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs when i started work as a Trainee Swimming Pool Engineer and taken under the wings of two very experienced pool engineers. This is where my passion for Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs exploded. I just needed to learn and know as much as i could about them. 

I worked out in the field as a mobile engineer. Working out the back of a van for many years, i looked after Domestic Swimming Pools, Hot Tubs, Spas, small and large Commercial Pools as well as doing work on larger institutes like the MOD and Butlin's amongst others. 

My passion continued to grow as did my knowledge and experience, then in March 2016 i sat a number of exams held by the industries ISPE (Institute of swimming pool engineers) which i passed to become accepted as a Technician of the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers.

During my time i also co-managed a number of prestigious holiday parks with hot tub lodges across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. This i did for years during all seasons, so i am very experienced in this field. Be that managing staff, changeover routines, hot tub repairs, H&S paperwork, Compliance, risk assessments, water sampling etc.

Unfortunately due to ill health a little while back, i had no option but to leave the busyness of the role and choose a more subdued role to aid recovery. However i kept my hand in the industry where i could as i knew my passion would bring me back. 

Fully recovered, the time came and that's when The Wizard of Pool and Spa was born. Not to take over the world, but to be part of making your Pool, Spa or Hot Tub ownership magic again!
